How-to, tips & answers

Open the song on Spotify, then come back. Place it before, between or after your cards. Get the order right and the card is yours.

How to play

  1. Choose solo, one device or a lobby, then set your card target.
  2. Open the song on Spotify, listen and return to Snacktools.
  3. Choose a spot on your timeline and reveal the answer. Correct cards stay put.

From one card to a full timeline

Play to 5, 10 or 15 cards. Everyone starts with one revealed card, which counts towards the target. Each player can skip two songs. Playing solo, you can make three mistakes. Songs released in the same year can go in either order.

Listen on Spotify

Spotify opens separately and may show the title and artist. Snacktools does not play music or connect to a Spotify account. Which songs you can play depends on your Spotify access and country.

Name songs, earn coins

You start with no coins. Enter the title and artist before the reveal. Get both right to earn one coin, even if the year is in the wrong place. Spend three coins to have the current card placed correctly for you, with no guessing bonus. Your two free skips are separate. Your answers are checked against the title and artist. Capital letters, accents and punctuation don’t matter. No audio recognition is used.

Challenge in the lobby

In a lobby, a placement opens a 12-second challenge window if an opponent has coins. Stake one coin on a different free spot in the active timeline. Each player or team gets one challenge. If the first placement is wrong, the earliest correct challenge wins the card. Your coin is spent even if your guess is wrong.

Where are you playing?
